Wallpapering
Feature walls and whole rooms, hung neatly, with the old paper stripped and the walls prepped first.
A good feature wall changes a whole room, and a fully papered room changes the feel of a house. Mike strips the old paper, gets the walls ready and hangs the new paper, like the botanical feature wall shown here.
What’s involved
- Feature walls and whole rooms
- Stripping old wallpaper
- Prepping the walls before papering
- Hanging the new paper
Choosing the paper
You can buy your own wallpaper, or Mike can source it for you. Either way, he’ll check how much you need when he comes out to see the room.
Prep comes first
Bumps, old glue and patched holes all show through new paper, so Mike gets the walls right before the paper goes up. If your walls need more than a tidy-up, see plastering and wall prep.

Questions
Wallpapering: good to know
Can you strip the old paper first?
Yes. Mike strips old paper and preps the walls before any new paper goes up. Good prep is what makes new paper sit flat.
Do you come and look at the room first?
Yes. Mike comes out to see the walls before he quotes, so he can check what prep they need.
